BMONT TABLET is a combination of Bambuterol and Montelukast which belongs to the group of medicines called Bronchodilators and Leukotriene receptors antagonists respectively. It is indicated for chronic treatment of asthma, bronchospasm and/or reversible airway obstruction in patients 15 years of age and older.
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease in which there is difficulty in breathing due to narrowing and swelling of the airways in the lungs.
Before taking BMONT TABLET, tell your doctor if you are suffering from liver, lung, kidney, heart disease or diabetes.
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies, hence BMONT TABLET should be used during pregnancy only if clearly required. Consult your doctor for advice.
BMONT TABLET should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking BMONT TABLET.
The common side effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.
It is used to treat:
BMONT TABLET is a combination of Bambuterol and Montelukast. Bambuterol is a bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widening the airways. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist which works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
Take as advised by your doctor. Swallow whole do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Nausea or Vomiting:
Take routine meals and do not eat spicy foods. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks, eat light, bland foods and avoid sweets.
Headache:
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes and apply a pain-relieving balm on the head if necessary. Do not consume alcohol. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep you hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for treating diarrhoea. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Stomach pain:
Try to rest and relax. Eat small meals but take frequently. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.

BMONT TABLET may affect your ability to drive or use any tools or machines. If you experience drowsiness or difficulty in concentrating while taking this medicine, do not drive or use any machines.
BMONT TABLET should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal function. Consult your doctor for advice.
BMONT TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases (hepatic impairment). Consult your doctor for advice.
Do not take BMONT TABLET if you are allergic to Bambuterol, Montelukast or any ingredients of this medicine.
BMONT TABLET is not recommended for patients with asthmatic attacks. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
BMONT TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe heart disease (ischaemic heart disease, arrhythmia or severe heart failure). Consult your doctor for advice.

Q: Can I take BMONT TABLET if I have diabetes?
A: BMONT TABLET may raise blood sugar levels. So, monitor your blood sugar levels regularly and ask your doctor for dose adjustment accordingly.
Q: If I get a headache and shakiness while using BMONT TABLET will it go away?
A: Headache and shakiness are common side effects of BMONT TABLET which generally go away in one to two weeks. If the problem persists for longer period, consult your doctor.
Q: Can I take BMONT TABLET if I have heart disease?
A: It would be best to inform your doctor about your heart disease before taking this medicine. If you experience chest pain or any other symptom of worsening heart disease while taking medicine, you should immediately talk to your doctor.
Q: Does BMONT TABLET cause hypokalemia?
A: It contains Bambuterol which may decrease the potassium levels in your body. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine because low potassium levels can lead to other cardiovascular problems in patients with hypokalemia.
