Can BLADOSPAS cause nausea?
Yes. Nausea is a common side effect of BLADOSPAS. To avoid it, take this medicine with, or just after meals. Get plenty of fresh air. Have ginger or peppermint tea. Eat smaller meals more frequently and eat slowly. Avoid strong-smelling, hot, fried, or greasy food. Avoid large drink with meals. Do not lie down immediately after eating. Avoid wearing clothes that are tight around your waist or tummy.
Can I stop taking BLADOSPAS?
BLADOSPAS should be taken as advised by the physician to work properly. You must continue taking the medicine, until your doctor advises you to stop. If any of the symptom bothers you to stop taking the medicine, consult your doctor immediately.
What if I forget to take a dose of BLADOSPAS?
If you forget to take a dose of BLADOSPAS, take it as soon as you remember, and then continue your treatment as usual. Do not take the medicine twice to make up for the forgotten dose.
Can BLADOSPAS cause itching?
BLADOSPAS rarely causes itching. If you feel itchy, pat, or tap your skin instead of scratching it, or apply something cool on your skin, like a damp towel. Wear loose clothes, preferably cotton. If you experience persistent itching, consult your doctor.
Is BLADOSPAS an antibiotic?
No. BLADOSPAS in an antispasmodic drug that helps to relieve cramps in the muscles of your urinary tract. Consult your doctor before taking it for any other ailment than given for.
Can BLADOSPAS be used in children?
BLADOSPAS is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age due to lack of safety and effectiveness. Consult your doctor before taking it.
What is BLADOSPAS and what does it do?
BLADOSPAS contains Flavoxate which belongs to the group of medicines called Muscle relaxants. It is used to treat muscle spasms of the urinary tract. It can also be used to relieve symptoms which may occur due to surgery, cystoscopy (examination of bladder and urethra) or catheterisation, like painful urination, too much urination at night and no control over urine flow. Flavoxate works by inhibiting bladder contractions in the urinary tract along with reducing the pain associated with those contractions.
Is BLADOSPAS used to treat urinary tract infections?
BLADOSPAS is not intended to treat urinary tract infections. It is used to treat muscle spasms of the urinary tract. It can also be used to relieve symptoms which may occur due to surgery, cystoscopy (examination of bladder and urethra) or catheterisation, like painful urination, too much urination at night and no control over urine flow. Urinary tract infections are caused by bacteria or disease-causing organisms which require anti- microbial or antibiotic treatment. It cannot be cured by using BLADOSPAS.
Who should not take BLADOSPAS?
BLADOSPAS is not recommended for use if you have a disease condition affecting digestive tract causing obstruction in normal passage of food, bleeding in your digestive tract, achalasia (muscular inability to swallow), urinary retention (not able to completely empty your bladder), being treated for an eye illness called glaucoma, myasthenia gravis (a disease which causes general weakness and overtiredness of the muscles).
Can I take BLADOSPAS to treat my stomach pain?
No, it is not used in the treatment of stomach pain. It is used to treat muscles spasm in urinary tract only. Stomach pain could be of various other reasons, so kindly avoid using BLADOSPAS for stomach pain and if you have been diagnosed with any other stomach disorders kindly consult your doctor before using it.
Can we use BLADOSPAS for menstrual pain?
No, it is not used for menstrual pain. It is used to treat muscles spasm in urinary tract only. Do not use this medicine for menstrual pain. Your doctor may prescribe other medicine for menstrual pain.
