- BIOVORIN 50MG contains Leucovorin Calcium
What BIOVORIN 50MG is used for?
- BIOVORIN 50MG is used to diminish the toxicity and counteract the effect of impaired elimination of folic acid antagonists
- BIOVORIN 50MG is to treat the megaloblastic anemias due to folate deficiency, as in sprue, nutritional deficiency, megaloblastic anemias of pregnancy and infancy
- It is also used in combination with 5-fluorouracil in the treatment of advanced colorectal carcinoma

Talk to your Doctor if you:
- are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have megaloblasic anaemia due to Vitamin B12 deficiency
- have symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- cytotoxic drugs (hydroxycarbamide cytarabine, mercaptopurine, thioguanine)
- phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin and succinimides (used to treat epilepsy)
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- BIOVORIN 50MG will be given to you by your doctor or nurse into your vein or muscle
Like all medicines,this medicine can cause side effects,although not everybody gets them.

- anaphylactoid/anaphylactic reactions (including shock) and urticaria
