BEXOL DT contain Trihexyphenidyl which belongs to a group of medicine called anticholinergics. It is used to treat Parkinson’s disease. It helps by improving muscle control and reducing stiffness thus restoring the natural movement. It can also be used to treat movement disorders (extreme restlessness, involuntary movements, or muscle spasms) which may be caused by certain medicines.
Parkinson's disease is a disorder of brain that leads to shaking, stiffness and difficulty with walking, balance and coordination. It may get worse overtime leading to difficulty in walking and talking. They may also have mental and behavioural changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue. BEXOL DT works by decreasing the activity of a chemical messenger in the brain which reduce stiffness and improves muscle control.
The common side effects are dryness of mouth, constipation, blurred vision, dizziness, nausea, nervousness. Do not drive or operate any machine while taking this medicine since it may cause blurred vision or dizziness. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
