What is BENZOL 10% LOTION used for?
BENZOL 10% LOTION is used in the treatment and prevention of acne (pimples) in the face, chest and back. It can also be used to unplug the blocked pores (blackheads and whiteheads) and absorb excess oil from the skin. Consult your doctor before using BENZOL 10% LOTION.
How to use BENZOL 10% LOTION?
Always apply BENZOL 10% LOTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash and dry your hands before applying this medicine. Wash the affected area with a mild cleanser and water and allow the skin to dry. Apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area leaving it for 2 hours and then wash it off with water and pat skin dry.
What are the precautions to be followed while using BENZOL 10% LOTION?
While using BENZOL 10% LOTION avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, nose, mucous membranes and sensitive areas of the neck. In case of accidental contact rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. You should not use any other acne products along with this medicine without taking advise from your doctor because they may cause skin to become red and sore.
How long should I use BENZOL 10% LOTION
You should use BENZOL 10% LOTION as long as advised by your physician or how quickly your condition improves. Sometimes acne may take time to clear completely. You should see your doctor if you feel your acne is not improving while using this medicine.
Can BENZOL 10% LOTION be used in pregnant women?
BENZOL 10% LOTION is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women or women who are planning to become pregnant unless clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
What are the common side effects of using BENZOL 10% LOTION?
Most common side effects of BENZOL 10% LOTION are skin redness and irriation, burning, stinging sensation in the skin. Sudden increase in peeling may occur during the first weeks in most of the patients. This is usually not harmful and may subside once the treatment is discontinued temporarily. Consult your doctor if any of above symptoms worsens.
