  • It is not known if BACTROBAN is safe and effective in children under 3 months of age

  • Always apply this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • BACTROBAN is for use on the skin (topical)
  • Do not use BACTROBAN in your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina (mucosal surfaces)
  • Apply a small amount of BACTROBAN, with a cotton swab or gauze pad, to the affected area 3 times each day
  • Apply this medicine for 10 days
  • It is important that you use the full course of BACTROBAN cream
  • Do not stop early because your symptoms may disappear before the infection is fully cleared
  • Wash your hands before and after applying BACTROBAN 
  • After applying BACTROBAN cream, you may cover the treated area with a clean gauze pad, unless your healthcare provider has told you to leave it uncovered

If you use more BACTROBAN 

  • If you apply too much, talk to your doctor or go to hospital

If you forget to use BACTROBAN

  • If you forget to apply your BACTROBAN, apply it as soon as you remember
  • If it is close to the time you are next meant to apply it, wait until this time
  • Do not apply extra BACTROBAN to make up for a missed dose

If you stop using BACTROBAN 

  • If you use BACTROBAN regularly make sure you talk to your doctor before you stop using it as your condition may get worse if stopped suddenly
