HOW BACSTOL 100MG WORKS

BACSTOL 100MG is an antifolate antibacterial agent. It kills the susceptible bacteria by blocking the actions of an enzyme called dihydrofolate reductase which is essential for the formation of certain substances (folic acid) in the bacterial cell that gives them energy for growth and multiplication. As a result, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take BACSTOL 100MG as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

It is important to take the full course of BACSTOL 100MG without any interruption. Therefore, do not miss a dose or stop taking BACSTOL 100MG without consulting your doctor as it may lead to growth of harmful bacteria within the body which cannot be further controlled by BACSTOL 100MG.
