What is AZIFAST GEL used for?

AZIFAST GEL is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat different types of bacterial infections, which include skin infections, sinus infections, respiratory infections, throat infections, ear infections, and pneumonia. It is also used to treat sexually transmitted diseases, including gonorrhea and chlamydia. This medicine fights bacteria in the body.

How to take AZIFAST GEL?

The dosage of AZIFAST GEL prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Take AZIFAST GEL with a full glass of water.

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take AZIFAST GEL medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.

Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of AZIFAST GEL, seek medical attention immediately.
