INTRODUCTION

AZIFAST GEL contains Azithromycin which belongs to a group of medicines called Macrolide antibiotics. It is used to treat acne (pimples) and rosacea (condition marked by blushing/flushing of face) in affected individuals.

AZIFAST GEL is not recommended for use in patients allergic to azithromycin.

AZIFAST GEL is considered safe to be used in pregnant and breast-feeding women.  It is also considered safe to be used in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). Consult your doctor before applying the medicine. . 

The most common side effect of applying AZIFAST GEL is transient skin irritation. Consult your doctor if the symptom worsens.

HOW AZIFAST GEL WORKS

AZIFAST GEL acts on intracellular pathogens by inhibiting its protein synthesis which results in its destruction thus preventing the occurrence of inflammatory acne and providing relief from rosacea in affected individuals.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always apply AZIFAST GEL as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Take a necessary amount of medicine and apply in a thin layer on the affected area. Avoid applying this medication around your eyes and eyelids. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Skin Irritation:

Try to pat or tap your skin instead of scratching it. Hold a damp towel to cool your skin. Wear loose clothing and avoid tight clothes, or clothes made from wool or synthetic fabrics. Avoid using perfumed soaps, deodorants or moisturizers and use a skin softener regularly.
