What is AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG?

  • AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG contains Metformin and Voglibose which controls blood sugar levels with diabetes called ‘type 2 diabetes mellitus’
  • AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals

What AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG is used for?

  • AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG works by lowering the amount of sugar made by your body by improving the levels and effects of insulin after a meal

Talk to your doctor before taking AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG, if you:

  • are allergic to Metformin and Voglibose or to any of its ingredients
  • have kidney or heart problems
  • suffer from diabetic ketoacidosis
  • drink a lot of alcohol
  • have inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulcerations or partial intestinal obstructions and patients being predisposed to intestinal obstruction
  • have gastro-intestinal disorders
  • AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding and may pass into breast milk
  • Consult your doctor for advice before taking this medicine


  • Avoid driving and using machines since AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG may affect your ability to drive or use machines
  • Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements, any other antidiabetic drug or insulin
  • Take AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG exactly as prescribed
  • Your doctor will usually start you on a low dose and increase your dose slowly to control your blood sugar levels
  • Do not change your dose unless told to do so by your doctor
  • Swallow the tablets
  • Never crush or chew the tablet

If you take more AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG

  • If you take too much AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG or overdose, call your doctor right away

If you forget to take AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG

  • If you miss a dose of AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG resume dosing according to schedule

If you stop taking AVIBOSE SF 0.2MG

  • Do not stop taking this tablet before consulting your doctor
Very Rare

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.


  • Metformin can cause a rare, but serious condition, called lactic acidosis where there is a buildup of an acid in the blood that can cause death



  • diarrhea, nausea, and upset stomach


  • soft stools or diarrhoea, flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, abdominal fullness and nausea
  • rise in liver enzymes
  • nausea vomiting, dizziness 
  • endocrine and/or metabolic disorders



  • low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
