ARTACIL 50MG INJECTION contains Atracurium which belongs to the group of medicines called Muscle relaxants. It relaxes your muscles and keeps your body still (immobile) during a surgery. It also relaxes the airway muscles which help in artificial breathing and in facilitating easy insertion of breathing tubes into the airways.
Before receiving ARTACIL 50MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have a history of asthma or allergic conditions, any nerve or muscle disorders, electrolyte imbalance or if you are severely dehydrated.
ARTACIL 50MG INJECTION should be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women only if it is considered necessary by the physician. However, it may be used during a caesarean section in pregnant women under close supervision.
ARTACIL 50MG INJECTION may cause difficulty in breathing which is due to relaxation of muscle involved in breathing. In such cases, your doctor might provide you with additional ventilation support until the effect of ARTACIL 50MG INJECTION wears off.
Other most common side effects of receiving ARTACIL 50MG INJECTION are pain or irritation at the site of injection, slow of fast heart rate, low or high blood pressure and flushing of skin. Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
