What ARRENO is used for?

  • It is used to reduce the risk of stroke in people who have had blood clots or a  mini-stroke (transient ischemic attack or TIA)

Talk to your doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine
  • have asthma
  • have nasal polyps
  • have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding
  • have hemophilia (bleeding disorder)
  • have any heart problem
  • have liver or kidney disease
  • have low blood pressure
  • are an alcoholic
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
[DRIVINGMACHINES]

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • acetazolamide
  • methotrexate
  • medicines used to treat diabetes
  • probenecid or sulfinpyrazone (used to treat gout)
  • benazepril, captopril, enalapril, lisinopril, quinapril, ramipril (used to treat blood pressure)
  • donepezil, galantamine, rivastigmine (used to treat Alzheimer disease)
  • atenolol, carvedilol, esmolol, metoprolol, propranolol, sotalol, timolol
  • amiloride, furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, spironolactone, triamterene
  • carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital (used to treat epilepsy)
  • ibuprofen, naproxen, indomethacin, ketoprofen, meloxicam, nabumetone, piroxicam (used to treat pain and inflammation)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water
  • Do not crush or chew the medicine

 If you take more ARRENO

  • If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to a nearest hospital immediately
  • Symptoms of overdose: warm or tingly feeling, sweating, restlessness, dizziness, weakness, feeling light-headed or fainting

If you forget to take ARRENO

  •  If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking ARRENO

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
