ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET contains Clonidine which belongs to group of medicines called Antihypertensives. ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET is used to lower high blood pressure to treat hypertension in affected individuals.
ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to clonidine. It is also not recommended for use in patients with rare hereditary condition of galactose intolerance, and/or heart diseases (such as heart failure, slow/irregular heart rate).
Before taking ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have Raynaud’s phenomenon (condition marked by decreased blood flow to the fingers and toes), depression, constipation, altered sensation, diabetes, liver, and/or kidney problems.
ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy. It is also not recommended for use in breast-feeding women.
ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 60 years/above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET are dizziness, dry mouth, tiredness, headache, constipation, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET works by relaxing the blood vessels which makes the heart to pump blood more efficiently around the body thus resulting in the lowered blood pressure and thereby treating hypertension in affected individuals.

Constipation:
Eat more fiber especially soluble fiber foods such as beans, oats, oat bran, rice bran, barley. Try to keep yourself hydrated and avoid taking any medicine on your own to treat the side effect. Consult your doctor if the symptom persists or does not improve.
Nausea and vomiting:
Take ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET with or just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods, sugary snacks and drinks. Avoid drinking too much liquid along with your meals, drink slowly in between meals. Consult your doctor if the condition worsens.
ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET is not recommended for use in breast feeding women as it may pass through milk. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel drowsy, dizzy or have some disturbances of vision after taking ARKAPRES 150MCG TABLET.
