What is AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet used for?

AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet is used to treat the following conditions:

  • Hypertension (high blood pressure);
  • Angina (chest pain and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease (damage or disease of major heart vessels).

It is used in combination with other antibiotics.

AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How does AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet work?

AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers. AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet prevents the calcium from moving into the blood vessel wall thereby preventing tightening of blood vessel walls. This reduces the blood pressure and improves symptoms of chest pain.

How to take AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet?

  • The dosage of oral tablet of AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
  • AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet is started with one per day, later the dose can change depending on the condition of the patient.
  • AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet should be taken with or without food. Take the medicine at the same time of the day.
  • AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet is not advised to be taken by children below 6 years of age.
  • Do not discontinue the antibiotic without consulting a doctor.
  • If you miss a dose of AMLONG 2.5mg Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
