What is AMBROLITE Syrup used for?

AMBROLITE Syrup capsule/drops/respule/syrup/tablet is used for the treatment of 

cough.

AMBROLITE Syrup may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

How does AMBROLITE Syrup work?

AMBROLITE Syrup belongs to the class of drugs called expectorants. The drug acts by inhibiting the action of certain substances and suppresses the mucus secretion, thereby reducing the viscosity of phlegm and episodes of a cough.

How to take AMBROLITE Syrup?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take AMBROLITE Syrup capsule/drops/respule/syrup/tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Shake the syrup well before taking each dose so as to ensure the uniform mixing of the drug. Use a measuring cup while taking each dose.
  • Swallow the tablet/capsule Do not crush or chew the tablet/capsule. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
  • Please follow the instruction provided on the leaflet while using this respule .
  • For oral drops , measure the required amount of drug in a graduated dropper and instil into the mouth.

If you miss a dose of AMBROLITE Syrup, please take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

The overdose symptoms of AMBROLITE Syrup include the following:

  • Rapid fall in blood pressure
  • Change in pulse rate
  • Vision changes
  • Confusion
