ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE contains Amoxycillin which belongs to a group of medicines called Penicillins. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria in different parts of the body in affected individuals.
ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE is also used in combination with other medicines to treat stomach ulcers in affected individuals. It is not recommended for use in patients allergic to amoxycillin, penicillin and/or other antibiotics.
Before taking ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have glandular fever (viral infection caused by Epstein Barr Virus), unable to urinate regularly, scheduled for urine, blood or oestriol tests, kidney problems and/or liver problems (such as hepatic impairment).
ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE should be used with caution during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women. ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and in elders (aged above 65 years).

ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE works by inhibiting the synthesis of penicillin binding proteins which leads to activation of autolytic enzymes in bacterial cell wall resulting in lysis/destruction of bacterial cell wall thus preventing the spread of infection in affected individuals.
Tablet, Capsule:
Take ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Dispersible Tablet:
Take ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Disperse ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the mixture immediately after reconstitution. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Nausea/vomiting:
Try to take this medicine with or just after a meal or a snack. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep you hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for treating diarrhea. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy. Consult and inform your doctor before taking the medicine.
ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in breastfeeding women since it passes through milk. Consult and inform your doctor before taking the medicine.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you have allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions after taking ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE.
ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE should be taken with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking.
ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE should be taken with caution in patients with liver problems such as hepatic impairment. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
Do not take ALMOX 250MG CAPSULE if you are allergic to amoxycillin, penicillin, other antibiotics and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.
