INTRODUCTION

ALMOCEF DT 100MG TABLET contains Cefixime which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, sinus, respiratory tract (bronchus, lungs), urinary tract and biliary tract in children (aged 6 months or older). It can also be used in the treatment of typhoid fever.

A bacterial infection can be defined as a proliferation of various harmful strains of bacteria in the body. They can affect any part(s) of the body including the respiratory tract, urinary tract, reproductive tract, eyes, ears, skin, soft tissue, or bones.

Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.

Prior to the therapy, inform your doctor about the child’s pre-existing disease conditions such as any stomach problems or kidney problems as a precaution. The most common side effects of taking ALMOCEF DT 100MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain and bloating. HOW ALMOCEF DT 100MG TABLET WORKS

ALMOCEF DT 100MG TABLET is a powerful antibiotic with bacteriostatic properties. It kills the susceptible bacteria by blocking the bacterial cell wall synthesis. Collectively, these actions destroy the susceptible bacteria, prevent their further growth and multiplication and reduce the severity of the infection.
