USES OF ALGIC PLUS EYE DROPS

  • Treats and prevents eye infection and inflammation
  • Reduces eye pain, redness, itching or burning/stinging sensation following eye surgery

HOW ALGIC PLUS EYE DROPS WORKS

ALGIC PLUS EYE DROPS contains two medicines namely, Ketorolac and Ofloxacin. Ketorolac is a pain-relieving medication. It blocks the release of certain chemicals in the body (such as prostaglandins) that causes inflammation, redness and swelling. When applied topically on the eyes, it reduces eye redness, soreness, pain, itching and swelling.

Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. When applied topically on the eyes, it kills the susceptible bacteria that causes eye infection. Collectively, this medicine reduces eye inflammation and pain and prevents the risk of eye infections.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use ALGIC PLUS EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Tilt your head slightly backwards and gently pull your lower eyelid. Instil few drops of this medicine into the eyes and close your eyes for 2 minutes. Repeat the same for the other eye if required. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying ALGIC PLUS EYE DROPS and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.

Wash your hands before and after application. Leave a time gap of 5 minutes before applying other medicines on your eyes. Do not touch the tip of the container with your eyes, eyelids, areas around your eyes, ears or fingers, to avoid contamination.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and health condition.
