ALENIX 10MG contains Desloratadine which belongs to a class of medications called antihistamines, which helps to control allergic reaction and its symptoms. This medicine is indicated to relieve symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by an allergy like hay fever or allergy to dust mites). It is also used to relieve the symptoms associated with urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy) which includes itching and hives.
ALENIX 10MG works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body which causes allergic symptoms. Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart problems, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. It is not suitable for children and adolescents under 12 years of age. The common side effects are dry mouth, fatigue and headache.
ALENIX 10MG works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body which causes allergic symptoms. It is a non-sedating, long-acting histamine antagonist with selective peripheral H1- receptor antagonist activity. It blocks peripheral histamine H1-receptors because the substance is excluded from entry to the central nervous system.
Always take this ALENIX 10MG exactly as your doctor has told you. Swallow the medicine as a whole, with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew. It can be taken with or without food.
Dry mouth:
Chew sugar-free gum or suck on sugar-free hard candies to stimulate the flow of saliva and limit your caffeine intake. Drink small sips of water regularly.
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.
Fatigue:
Eat a balanced diet and get regular exercise. Drink more water.
ALENIX 10MG is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine, since it may cause drowsiness.
