INTRODUCTION

ALBESTAR I TABLET contains a combination of Albendazole and Ivermectin, which belongs to a group of medicines called Anthelmintics. It is used to treat parasitic and worm infestations. Parasitic worm infections are intestinal worm infections that are caused by the ingestion of contaminated food and water.

Before taking this ALBESTAR I TABLET inform your doctor if you have a decreased blood count, severe liver disease, kidney or heart problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

The common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain and skin rashes. Consult your doctor immediately if any of your symptoms get worse.

HOW ALBESTAR I TABLET WORKS

ALBESTAR I TABLET works against the parasite by preventing it from consuming glucose, depleting its energy stores and also causing the insect to become paralysed, causing it to die.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always take this ALBESTAR I TABLET as instructed by your doctor.

For Tablet: Swallow ALBESTAR I TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse ALBESTAR I TABLET in the specified quantity of water as mentioned on the label. Consume the mixture immediately after reconstitution.

For Chewable Tablet: Chew ALBESTAR I TABLET thoroughly and swallow or as directed by your doctor.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Stomach pain:

Nausea or vomiting:

There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women hence ALBESTAR I TABLET should not be used during pregnancy. However, consult your doctor for advice.

BREASTFEEDING

ALBESTAR I TABLET should be used with caution by breastfeeding mothers as it may pass through breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking ALBESTAR I TABLET.

LIVER

ALBESTAR I TABLET should be used with caution if you have liver disease, your dose will be adjusted if needed. Consult your doctor for advice.

ALLERGY

Do not take ALBESTAR I TABLET if you are allergic to Albendazole or Ivermectin.
