The talocrural joint located between the talus, the medial malleolus of the distal tibia, and the lateral malleolus of the distal fibula. The subtalar joint is an articulation between the talus and calcaneus. The lateral side has several separated ligaments, including the anterior talofibular, calcaneofibular, posterior talofibular ligament. The key muscles surrounding the ankle are peroneal muscles (longus and brevis), triceps surae, and anterior / posterior tibialis.

  • Recommended to wear with socks.
  • May be used for the left or right foot.
  1. Position heel in the heel locking area of the ankle support. Lace the ankle support snugly with straps.
  2. Wrap lateral stabilizing strap under the heel and attach the hook and loop closure end of the strap to the side of the support.
  3. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the medial stabilizing strap.
  4. To ensure optimum performance and support, tighten the stabilizing straps from a seated position with the foot flat on the floor. Use the finger loops at the strap ends to free the strap from the hook and loop closure on the side of the boot. Pull up firmly on both straps, then press straps against boot to secure.
  5. Fasten the elastic strap to tighten.
