There are simple and effective fixes to help take off your dark circles. These methods not only aid lightening them but also nourish and gives a natural glow to the skin under and around your eyes.

 Here are simple ways to ward off dark circles


1.Almond Oil

Almond oil is a sure shot remedy to fade off dark circles. The vitamin E in the almond oil revives the skin and its regular use will help lighten the dark circles under the eyes. It is also used as a soothing agent to keep the skin soft and glowing.

Apply almond oil over your dark circles and massage gently it into the skin. Let it stay overnight and wash it off the next morning. 

2. Cucumber

Cucumber is the widely used as a natural remedy to clear off dark circles. The powerhouse of antioxidants- cucurbitacin’s, vitexin, isoscoparin along with vitamin C and K, reduces the inflammation that causes puffiness and dark circles. Cucumber relaxes and improves the blood circulation in and around the eyes and its astringent property lightens the skin.

Keep cold cucumber pieces on both the eyes, replace it with fresh slices every 3 minutes and continue this process for about 20 minutes. 

3.Potatoes

Potatoes are natural bleaching agents that helps remove the dark circles under the eyes. The richness of vitamin C, A, and enzymes aid in refreshing and nourishing the skin around the eyes.

Place sliced potatoes over your eyes, allow it to stay for 10- 15 minutes and rinse it with cold water. Repeat it twice daily for few weeks.

4. Rose Water

Rose water calms the stressed under-eye skin. The antioxidants present in it strengthen and regenerate skin cells. The astringent rose water keeps up the tone and revives skin.

Soak cotton pads in pure rose water and place it on your eyelids for 15 minutes. Do this twice daily for a few weeks.   

5. Tomato

The natural bleaching property in present in tomatoes lightens the skin. The presence of antioxidant lycopene in tomato helps reduce dark discolouration under the eyes. Filled with nutrients that include Vitamin A, B, C and minerals such as sulphur, potassium, calcium and iron, tomatoes make the best choice to reduce dark circles.

Apply tomato juice on the dark circles and leave it for 10 minutes, rinse it off with water. Repeat it twice a day for a few weeks.
