1 tsp red chilli powder
1 spring curry leaves
2 tsp ghee
Salt as required
In a bowl soak rice in water for 30 minutes. Wash dal well and soak for 20 minutes.
In a pressure cooker heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves and ginger-garlic paste and sauté it well.
Now add chopped onion and tomatoes, green chilli and cook until soft.
Add all the spice powder and sauté it well and add chopped spinach.
Now add rice and dal and 2 cups of water.
Cook for 10- 15 minutes and after two whistles remove the khichdi from the pressure cooker and top it with ghee.
