Uses of Repaglinide+Voglibose
The combination of Repaglinide and Voglibose is used as an adjunct (to diet and exercise) to treat type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in patients to help control blood sugar levels.

How Repaglinide+Voglibose works
Repaglinide increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas and voglibose inhibits the action of a-glucosidase (an intestinal enzyme responsible for breaking down complex sugars into simple sugars) which results in lowering the blood glucose level and thus treating type-2 diabetes mellitus in affected individuals.
Common side effects of Repaglinide+Voglibose
- signs of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) such as rapid heart rate, shaking, sweating
- abdominal pain/discomfort, diarrhoea
- signs of gastritis (inflammation of stomach) such as upper abdomen pain, nausea, vomiting
- swelling of face/arms/legs
- headache, fever
- sore throat
- sinusitis (sinus inflammation)
- muscle pain and tenderness
- periarthritis (swelling around joints)

- In case of accidental overdosage
- If you experience signs of an anaphylactic reaction (life-threatening allergic reaction) such as swelling, difficulty in breathing, rapid heartbeat, feeling dizzy and/or sweating
- If you experience signs of hypersensitivity reaction of skin such as erythema, itching, rashes and/or itchy welts

- Maintain a balanced diet that includes whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and healthy fats. To assist maintain blood sugar levels, keep track of your carbohydrate intake. Try taking foods with a low glycemic index, as they have a slower impact on blood sugar levels
