How Clindamycin+Tretinoin works
Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic. It acts by stopping the growth and multiplication of the acne-causing bacteria on the skin. Tretinoin is a synthetic derivative of vitamin A. It controls acne breakouts by preventing the skin pores from getting clogged with sebum (oil produced in the skin) and dead skin cells. It also removes the dead skin cells that clogs the hair follicles in areas affected with acne and helps your skin renew itself more quickly.

Health Tips for Clindamycin+Tretinoin
- Always use Clindamycin + Tretinoin exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not use more or less than instructed
- Before applying any medications to your entire face, consider doing a patch test on a small area of your skin to check for any adverse reactions or allergies
- Let the medicine completely dry on your skin before applying any make-up products or cosmetics. Avoid contact of Clindamycin + Tretinoin with eyes, ears, mouth, or vagina
- Tretinoin can be harsh on the skin, especially in the beginning. Start by using it every other night or every third night to allow your skin to adjust. Gradually increase the frequency as your skin becomes accustomed to it
- Both Clindamycin and Tretinoin can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Therefore, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every morning, even on cloudy days. This helps prevent sunburn and further skin damage
- While using these medications, avoid using other harsh skincare products that might further irritate your skin, such as products containing alcohol, strong exfoliants, or astringents
- Tretinoin can lead to dryness and flakiness, so it's essential to use a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated
- Drinking plenty of water and maintaining a balanced diet can contribute to overall skin health
