Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat, one tonsil on each side. Tonisillitis is most often caused by common viruses but in few cases bacterial infections and unhygienic eating habits can lead to this condition. School age children are prone to tonsillitis due to frequent exposure to germs. Wash your hands thoroughly especially after using toilet, avoid sharing foods, water bottles to avoid tonsillitis. Tonsils go away by themselves, drinking warm water, oral hygiene can bring down the pain. In case of fever, neck stiffness, difficulty swallowing consult the doctor. To know more, watch the video…
