Osteoporosis means porus bone in which bones have lost density or mass and contain abnormal tissue structure. As the bones become weaker, there is a higher risk of fracture during a fall or even a fairly minor knock. Osteoporosis can affect both males and females but more likely to occur in women of menopause because of the sudden decrease in the estrogen hormone.
