Sciatica is a pain radiating down the sciatic nerve that runs down both the legs from lower back. It can cause in both legs. Sciatica may be differentiated from other back pains by the cramps it causes. People between the age of 30 and 50, pregnant women are prone to sciatic pain. Sciatica occurs when disks that serve like cushion in the spine get herniated. Doctors check for muscle strength and reflexes when presented with a case of back pain and may suggest an MRI.
