Pain is a wide spectrum of disorders including acute and chronic pain and sometimes a combination of both. The causes of pain includes surgery, injury. nerve damage and metabolic disorders like diabetes. Recurrent pain may be due to ailments like, cancer, multiple sclerosis, gall bladder disease, stomach ulcer and AIDS. Pain is often classified by the kind of damage it causes. The two main categories of pain caused by tissue damage is also called as nociceptive pain and pain caused by nerve damage called neuropathic pain.
