Diabetes or blood sugar is a group of multi-system disease that affects the blood sugar levels. Adults above the age of 40 are prone to type 2 diabetes often caused due to sedentary lifestyle, physical inactivity. In type 1 diabetes pancreas fail to produce enough insulin where as in type 2 insufficient amounts of insulin is produced. Diabetes can be diagnosed with simple blood tests like fasting blood sugar, post prandial and glucose tolerance test.
